Mountfield, Classic Cuvée NV

The Mountfield Winery is based in the heart of sparkling wine's biggest sensation: Sussex. It's been developed over the last 9 years in the grounds of a country estate which has been in the same family since 1860. Converting the estate's old dairy into the winery, which is next to the vineyard, means they can protect the quality of the fruit during harvest as there is no delay from vine to press. Classic Cuvée NV is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier mainly taken from the seminal 2016 vintage. Elegant and expressive, this English sparkler opens with lemon zest, green apple, and toasted brioche. The fine mousse and creamy texture are balanced by zippy acidity and a mineral backbone. A refined Sussex fizz with finesse and staying power.
